Alphonse Mucha's "Byzantine Beauties" graced walls, windows and art salons in Paris in the late 1890s in the form of posters and advertisements for a multitude of things. Mucha's harmonious poster designs of beautiful women with longflowing hair, executed in delicate colors, are still much in demand today.
